Having been approached by one of our members earlier in the year asking to share their Dubco story, we thought it would be great if we could share some more stories! One story we thought we’d share is Michael’s. After the death of his wife, Michael was struggling to meet his mortgage repayments. Here’s his story:

After my wife died, there was an outstanding balance on the mortgage. There had been an issue with our mortgage protection policy and unfortunately it had lapsed, meaning I was liable for the outstanding balance. I began to struggle to make the monthly repayments and started to receive ‘hassle letters’ from the bank. Any time I contacted them about this, I felt like they didn’t want to hear what I had to say, they just wanted their money.

Then one day I received my statement and newsletter from Dubco, so I decided to give them a call to see if there was any way they could help me. I spoke to a member of the Loans Team about the problems I was having with my mortgage provider and I can honestly say that conversation changed my life. I felt that I could talk to Dubco and that they tried to understand the situation I was in. I was able to speak to a person and have them listen. It was so comforting to know that if I had any questions or concerns about my loan, that I could pick up the phone and speak to someone. This wasn’t the case with my mortgage provider, it felt like I was just being bounced from person to person and they didn’t really care about the situation I had found myself in, they were only concerned about getting paid.

Dubco went above and beyond the call of duty to try and help me. They made sure I understood what was going on during every part of the loan process and that I was happy to move forward. The truth is that thanks to the loan from Dubco I was able to move on with my life. Dubco gave me peace of mind, they gave me my life back.
